STORY CATCHER
What if one of the remedies to hatred and chaos in the world was a pair of listening ears? According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a whopping 42,773 Americans commit suicide every year, making it the tenth leading cause of death in the nation. A note was found in one middle-aged man’s pocket which read, “If one person will say hi to me today, I won’t jump.” The vision for findWIL Story Catchers is that they would journey into the world to listen to people’s life stories. We believe in the power of listening and hope that by collecting people’s stories we are enabling them to feel heard and loved.
CORE EDITOR
Stories are seeds that breed power and transformation. Core editors take raw copy and help shape it into the verbal art that can influence lives. Are you clever with words? We would love your help.
LOCALS
If you live in the Indianapolis, IN area, find out how you can partner with us locally in the findWIL movement. Our headquarters is located in Mooresville, which is twenty minutes south of the city.
INTERN
We have internship opportunities available, let us know if you’d like to hear more.
SPEED READERS
Speed readers come into play when we find ourselves in submission overload mode. If you have strong reading comprehension skills and the ability to move through material quickly, we would love your help. Speed readers study our submissions and tell us the difference between good and great material. The great material is then revised by our editors and used in a number of places. (To get a better idea of what kind of material we are striving for, pick up a copy of Where is Love? or our dearHIL Diary.)
MEDIA MAKER
We are looking for post-production editors to help touch up photography and videography content. Contact us, and we’ll send some footage your way.
